Grammy-nominated Tate McRae hits $62 million in revenue from Spotify streams in 2025

With the release of ‘So Close to What’ (deluxe), featuring five new tracks and the Hot 100 No. 3 hit ‘Tit For Tat’, Tate McRae is experiencing one of the most commercially explosive moments of her career. In light of this, I am reaching out with а comprehensive report that delves into Tate McRae’s popularity on Spotify and the earnings her songs have generated on the streaming platform.

To highlight Spotify’s top artists and tracks, the team at TradingPlatforms aggregated Kworb and Spotify all-time weekly chart data from 73 countries and estimated revenue by multiplying streams by $0.004 (the midpoint of Spotify’s $0.003–$0.005 payout). The full dataset is available on Google Drive via this link.

Data shows that Tate McRae is not only undeniably viral, but her commercial weight is now impossible to ignore. Her catalogue has generated an estimated $62.2 million in revenue from 16.56 billion Spotify streams across the 125 tracks available on the platform. For comparison, P!nk has 15.15 billion streams, Hozier 15.44 billion, and even Britney Spears stands at 14.38 billion. McRae, remarkably early in her career, is already outperforming artists with decades of chart history behind them.

Here are a few key takeaways from the report:

Tate McRae currently has 125 tracks on Spotify, spanning remixes, sped-up edits, live performances and official releases, and together they have amassed 15.55 billion streams. That streaming power translates into an estimated $62.2 million in streaming revenue, placing McRae ahead of long-established stars such as Ellie Goulding, P!nk, James Arthur, Hozier, AC/DC and even Britney Spears. McRae’s biggest streaming force is the song ‘Greedy’, which has become a modern pop phenomenon. It is now the 43rd most-streamed song in Spotify history, with 2 billion plays to date, an impressive figure for a track released in 2023. Those streams equate to an estimated $8 million in Spotify revenue. Beyond its commercial success, ‘greedy’ also ignited a viral moment across TikTok and Reels, propelling McRae into global pop stardom. ’Sports Car’, on the other hand, is now the 13th most-streamed track from 2025, with more than 614 million streams and $2.5 million in earnings.

Three of McRae’s tracks have now surpassed half a billion streams, including ‘Greedy’, ‘You Broke Me First’ and ‘10:35’. Her breakthrough hit, ‘You Broke Me First’, continues to be a streaming powerhouse, amassing 1.89 billion plays and generating an estimated $7.5 million in Spotify revenue, reflecting its enduring global appeal years after release. Her film and soundtrack placements have also proven lucrative. ‘Just Keep Watching’ from F1: The Movie, the track that earned her first Grammy nomination, has already surpassed 426 million streams, generating more than $1.7 million in estimated Spotify royalties, and highlighting McRae’s growing footprint in major media franchises.

Released in September 2025, the song ‘Tit For Tat’ has already surpassed 145 million streams, generating an estimated $581,666 in Spotify revenue, and underlining McRae’s ability to debut new material at the top tier immediately. The track has also received high-profile recognition: during a late‑2025 talk-show appearance, global superstar Taylor Swift revealed she had ‘Tit For Tat’ on repeat, boosting McRae’s visibility and lending the song a powerful cultural endorsement. ‘With a knack for turning heartbreak, attitude, and clever storytelling into global hits, McRae is shaping the soundtrack of a generation. She doesn’t just ride trends, she sets them, turning viral TikTok moments, chart-topping singles, and Grammy-nominated tracks into cultural touchstones. Her catalogue is deep, her streams are massive, and her visibility across social and traditional media is relentless, giving her an unusually strong foundation for lasting influence. If this momentum continues, McRae is poised not just to dominate streaming charts, but to become one of the most trend-defining and unstoppable voices in global pop for years to come.’ - comments Stanislava Savisheva, data analyst at Tradingplatforms.

More information on Spotify’s most-streamed songs and artists around the world, as well as the estimated revenue each song generates from streams, and the complete methodology behind these calculations, can be found in the full report. The raw dataset is also available on Google Drive via the following link. Feel free to use any data or graphics for publication by providing a proper link attribution to the original report.

In 1983, he began his now 40-year career as the lead guitarist in Metallica, selling over 125 million albums and winning multiple GRAMMY® Awards. PRIVATE GALLERY PRESENTS: GABRIELA NOELLE — LAS BANDIDAS A Celebration of Mischief, Memory, and Imagination During Miami Art Week / Art Basel 2025

PRIVATE GALLERY PRESENTS: GABRIELA NOELLE — LAS BANDIDAS
A Celebration of Mischief, Memory, and Imagination During Miami Art Week / Art Basel 2025

In a year defined by political chaos, war, and fright, Private Gallery in Wynwood will close 2025 by presenting an exhibition that offers a space to reconnect with naive wonder, playfulness, and imagination — helping us navigate uncertainty with creativity and resilience. Las Bandidas is a major new exhibition by Cuban-American artist Gabriela Noelle, a visionary whose work dissolves the borders between art, design, and play. Opening during Miami Art Week / Art Basel 2025, the exhibition is an invitation to reimagine rebellion not as destruction, but as care; not as resistance, but as repair.

For the first time in her ten-year career, Noelle introduces the protagonists of her celebrated Imaginary Friends universe, Las Bandidas: a troupe of mischievous heroines who move through the world with curiosity, tenderness, and defiant joy. These “altruistic bandits” stitch the world back together in quiet acts of creativity, mending, recycling, and healing both materials and memories.

Rendered in her signature language of lucite, textiles, and saturated color, Las Bandidas unfolds as a living comic book: a realm where myth, memory, and futuristic folklore converge. Visitors are invited to step inside this imaginative world, where the playfulness of childhood meets the sense of responsibility that comes with growing up.

Las Bandidas is about the joy of making things better—about small repairs, inside and out,” says Noelle. “I wanted to honor that mischievous voice that says, ‘let’s see what happens if we try.’”

The show features Noelle’s signature hand-dyed textile sculptures, new crocheted works created in collaboration with artist Caitlin Farradas, and a series of works on Amate, a bark paper honoring a sacred form of documentation dating back to Mayan times. The Amate, which will first be custom printed by Miami Paper and Printing Museum, is then layered by the artist with her signature style, evoking both the magical properties of the paper and the energy of street art. Lastly, towering Porteros stand guard like folkloric sentinels, while Weebees and Imaginary Friends return as recurring companions.

“We chose Gabriela for our big week because we have been watching her break the status quo by making elite fine art cute,” says Allison Freidin, co-curator of the gallery. “She’s been doing this long before this year’s Labubu craze, which further solidified the sophisticated collector’s desire to feed their inner child.”

IMMERSIVE INSTALLATIONS Several interactive moments extend Noelle’s ideas into daily life:

The Frame Shop (Art Week Edition): Based on the artist’s great-grandmother’s frame store in Cuba, this installation encourages visitors to select one of Gabriela Noelle’s works on paper and then choose from an array of upcycled frames reminiscent of old family heirlooms, allowing the visitor to become engaged in the design process.

La Bodeguita: A playful pop-up within the exhibition stocked with small treasures—Bandida hats, Weebee charms, and collectible objects that remind visitors that art can be generous, affordable, and fun. Mix, match, and play!

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Gabriela Noelle (b. 1990) is a Cuban-American artist and designer based in Miami. Her practice operates at the intersection of material and memory, infusing lucite, textile, and found objects with childlike wonder and philosophical depth. Viewing her work as “a form of preservation,” Noelle constructs souvenirs of youth—vibrant relics for future generations that document both the innocence and complexity of the human condition.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, with commissions and collaborations for Louis Vuitton Foundation, ICA Miami, Larroudé, Champion, Disney Create 100, and Joopiter at Perrotin Gallery. She has been featured in Vogue World, ELLE Décor, Frame, and Interior Design magazines.
